FY27 Budget Watch: No Change Since the CR Signing

Checked as of September 5, 2026, 8:13 AM ET.

No material developments since the last check (September 4, 12:06 PM ET). The continuing resolution — H.R. 6500 / P.L. 119-103, signed September 2 — remains the operative funding law through December 11, 2026. The Senate Appropriations Committee is still without a topline agreement between defense and non-defense spending (Ranking Member Murray: “We do not have an agreement on the topline”), so no Senate markups have occurred on any of the 12 FY2027 bills.
